Our Vision

We are a group of researchers and clinical practitioners who share the same vision to develop a more effective screening method for jaundice in African newborns.

Our Partners

A Grand Challenge for Development

International partners have joined together to launch Saving Lives at Birth: A Grand Challenge for Development, to find the tools and approaches to help mothers and newborns.

We have received seed funding as well as continuous mentorship as Saving Lives At Birth (SL@B) innovators.

Who We Are

Collaborative

Our project is a joint effort between clinical practitioners, academic researchers, students, and business mentors.

Big-Picture Thinkers

We are committed to saving newborn lives. We are always thinking of new and innovative ways to use our app to achieve this overarching goal.

Global

From London to Accra, our team is both diverse and globally-distributed. We believe that global challenges require global solutions, both in theory and practice.

Data-Driven

Data is intrinsic to our methodology. We make it a priority to collect and analyse data for more successful and accurate results.

Goal-Oriented

We are continually identifying and reaching milestones that have lasting impacts on our product and the big-picture issue.

User-Centered

Through continuous research, we strive for usability, accessibility and affordability. We start with our users in mind and work backwards.
